The Yirgacheffe region is known for unique flavor profiles, but coffee from the Koke washing station is extra special. Koke is a small district in the Yirgacheffe region with elevations as high as 2300M, allowing for concentrated sweetness and complex flavours. Koke lots are highly sought after by the Japanese and Korean coffee community with limited bags making it to North America, we are very excited to have this specialty bean for our Vancouver Island customers.

This Yirgacheffe heirloom coffee bean is the closest one can get to tasting the ancient origins of the coffee tree as it was discovered in the Kaffa region of Ethiopia and brewed for the first time in the 9th century AD.

pleasing acidity, great sweetness, honey, black Earl Grey tea, juicy body finishing with jasmine.
